Hope Wakes Week

Come and join us for our fun filled carnival week! The fancy dress parade and fun day is on Saturday 28th June from 1pm onwards. Starting on Hope Sports Field it makes its way around the village then back onto the field for a fun filled afternoon.

With children’s entertainer, games, food and bar there is something for everyone to enjoy! There is also our magnificent well dressing around the village for you to look at. The rest of the week is filled with fun activities for all the family. Please ask in our office for more details.

Snake Pass Closure

The A57 Snake Pass will close to all users from Doctors Gate to Hagg Farm for four weeks from 26th September 2022 to allow an investigation into the cause of a landslip can take place.

IMPROVING LOCAL ROADS - SURFACE DRESSING WORK 2022

Derbyshire County Council are planning to carry out surface dressing work to repair and maintain the road surface in the local area.

WHERE IS THE WORK TAKING PLACE?

The road works will be on Castleton Road using stop/go boards between Pindale Road and Squires Lane.

WHEN WILL THIS WORK TAKE PLACE?

The work will take place Monday 23 May between 9 30am and 3 30pm and they will then return at a later date to undertake the white lining. Please note that all planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unexpected circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs.
