You could stay here a month, leaving your car on the park without exhausting the myriad footpaths that can be accessed from here – from a 30 minute walk to Castleton to as much of The Pennine Way as you fancy.
On the other hand you could take a 5-minute walk to the local pubs or the Curry Cabin Indian restaurant, . Or, for the seriously athletically challenged, sit out on your pitch and watch the sun go down on Lose Hill – wine & pizza optional…World famous crags and cliffs are in abundance here with Stanage or Froggatt Edge only a few miles away so climbers of all levels are spoilt for choice.
There is simply so much to do and explore in the Hope Valley and across the Peak District, with caving, orienteering and much more right here on our doorstep.

Local Attractions
There are two local golf courses within 4 miles of the site. The closest being a charming 9 hole golf course in Hope or an 18 hole course in Bamford, 3 miles away. For those of you who want more choice there are plenty of courses within a 15 mile range of Hope, even a driving range in Buxton for those very wet days.
Fishing is also taken care of here with the local fishing Dams in Bamford where you can fly fish from the shore or a boat. Fun filled summer holidays with the kids are sorted as well; outdoor swimming pool in Hathersage (5 miles away) Otter sanctuary in Chapel en le Frith or the caves in Castleton to explore.

Motorhome Stopovers
If you are heading to Europe from Dover and have an early morning ferry or train, why not take the opportunity to have a stop over at the Valiant Sailor in Folkstone. The Valiant Sailor welcomes motorhomes for pub stopovers all year round and is in a convenient location on the B2011 between the port of Dover and the Eurotunnel next to the Battle of Britain Memorial.
