Camping at Laneside
Escape to the heart of the Peak District and enjoy spacious camping pitches, exceptional facilities and the freedom to explore spectacular walks, charming villages and breathtaking landscapes right from your pitch.
Tent Pitches
We offer 22 non-electric camping pitches, available in configurations for 2, 4, or 6-person tents. All pitches are nestled in the lower section of the site, close to the river — a peaceful and scenic spot to set up camp.
Riverside Camping
Some of our larger pitches sit right alongside the charming riverbank. While you can request a riverside pitch when booking, please note that we can’t always guarantee availability — though we very rarely disappoint! The maximum tent size we accommodate is 6m x 4m.
During quieter periods, we may be able to accept slightly larger tents, but this is by special arrangement only.
Parking & Booking Info
Pitches on The Shelf (SH1–SH4), which are riverside, are not accessible by car, so you’ll need to park in the visitors’ car park. When booking your pitch, you’ll be asked to provide the dimensions of your tent, so please have them ready. We also offer a ‘Walkers’ discount for those who choose sustainability and leave their cars at home. This will reduce your pitch to £11 PPPN. With fantastic public transport links, it’s never been easier to get to us on foot.
