BOOKING CONDITIONS

All bookings, however made, are subject to agreement with our terms and conditions.  If upon arrival, we deem you or your party do not comply with our terms and conditions we reserve the right to refuse your booking without a refund

.

Please ensure any measurements given are accurate as pitches are allocated to size and all our pitches have different dimensions.  It is your responsibility to provide the correct measurements including any awnings or porches.  Our tent pitches are in locations determined by the size of your tent in metres, length and width.  For example, a 7.5-metre tent will NOT fit on a 6-metre tent pitch.  If upon arrival your tent is larger than the location booked, and we have no other alternatives available, you will be unable to stay and will not receive a refund.

Your booking is conditional on payment of a £25.00 booking deposit, (£75 for rentals, £100 for Shepherd’s Hut) at the time of booking, with full payment of the balance 7 days prior to arrival, otherwise, we cannot guarantee to hold your pitch. For bookings of £310 or more a deposit of 10% is required. Payment can be made via our website, or by card over the telephone. Throughout the season we do have periods when we implement a “minimum number of night stay”, if you book for a minimum period, you will not be refunded for any days not used. If the pitch is vacated early, cancelled, or the booking changes, please see our holiday cancellation policy. We highly recommend that you consider taking out holiday insurance.

Prices are for one unit plus awning, one car and 2 adults.  Please see tariff for additional prices.

All property is left at owner’s risk. Laneside Caravan Park will not be responsible for damage to – or theft of or from – caravans, tents & vehicles left on site.

Laneside is for recreational use only. Campers are not permitted to use the site as a base for running a business, carrying out work, including the provision of driving lessons. Campers must not advertise services and goods for sale without prior permission from the management.

ARRIVAL

The earliest arrival time is 12:30 PM unless agreed with us over the phone when booking, and we accept arrivals up to 9:30 PM or sunset, whichever is the latest, so as not to overly disturb other campers. We now have a barrier system installed on-site. For Rentals, please do not arrive until 2 pm. You will be allocated a barrier code with your booking confirmation. This is a unique code allocated to your booking. We have an anti-pass-back system, so this code will not work if you give it to friends and family. Please have this code on hand when entering the park. When you have entered through the barriers, please stop at the end of the drive at the arrival Hut, where a member of staff will meet you. The field marshal will take you to your allocated pitch and explain how you should position your unit. Outside of busy times, please alert a member of staff in the office who will guide you to your pitch. If you are arriving after 6:00 PM, please let us know prior to your arrival so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your late arrival. Please be aware that your code will only work after 11:30 AM on the day of your arrival, so you will not be able to enter the park.

LATE ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

If you have informed us that you will be arriving after reception has closed or have been delayed due to traffic, then a late arrival envelope will be left in the arrival Hut with your name and pitching instructions on it. Enclosed will be a map showing the location of your allocated pitch and a pitching ticket for your unit.

DEPARTURE

The latest departure time is 11.30 am to allow us to prepare the pitch for the next guests unless prior arrangements have been made. The rental departure time is 10.30 am. We do offer “Late Leavers”, £10 until 5 pm, which can be arranged in the office on the day of departure only and only if your pitch is free. We do not offer late departures on Friday or Saturday.

SECURITY BARRIERS

You will receive your barrier code with your booking confirmation email. Please have this to hand when entering and leaving the Park. This code is unique to your booking and cannot be used to allow access to visitors. If you are having visitors during your stay you need to let us know in Reception and we will arrange a new code for them and take any payment due (see tariff). The security barriers close at midnight and open at 6.30 am to restrict access to and disturbance on site overnight. Your code will not work during these hours. Vehicle access to the site during these times is not permitted, and the barriers will not be raised for any reason other than a 999 emergency. In these incidences, you can call the wardens via the barrier.  Anyone trying to enter the site during these times will not be allowed and will have to park across the road at the station and walk onto the site quietly.

The security barriers close at midnight and open at 6.30am to restrict access to and disturbance on site overnight.  Vehicle access to the site during these times is not permitted and the barriers will not be raised for any reason (emergency vehicles have a set contingency plan should a need arise).  Anyone trying to enter the site during these times will not be allowed and will have to park across the road at the station and walk onto site quietly.

The Wardens will conduct a walk round at night to check the site's security and ensure there is no noise throughout the site.

VISITORS

In the interests of security, day visitors must report to the office immediately on arrival at the site.  Visiting family and friends are charged at a daily rate of £3.00 per Adult and £2.00 per Child, plus a car parking fee of £6.50. Entry and subsequent parking will be at the discretion of the management. All visitors’ cars and extra cars must be registered with Reception and parked in the visitors’ car park.

PREFERRED PITCHES

We do not offer pitch selection when booking online. If you would like a specific pitch, you can request this over the phone, and we will do our utmost to accommodate all special pitch and booking requests. However, for operational reasons, we reserve the right to change your pitch to a similar one at any time.

LOYALTY SCHEME

If you stay for three or more consecutive weekday nights (Monday to Thursday), you will receive a stamp on your Loyalty Card. Once you have collected 6 stamps and have a full Loyalty Card you will receive a free three-night weekday stay. This can be used in conjunction with a longer stay, ie if staying from Friday to Friday (7 nights) then the Loyalty Card may be redeemed for three weekday nights and payment would only be required for the remaining 4 nights. This is not available for our published Bank Holiday periods, please see Tariff.

LINKED WEEKENDS

We only offer linked weekends during Low Season. We do not allow linked weekends on our Fully Serviced Pitches. Linked weekends are available on SOME hard-standing pitches and grass pitches.  Linked weekends are priced as the full tariff price for Friday and Saturday plus the cost of a linked week at one night’s full price of the pitch you allocated. If you wish to stay additional nights these are charged at the full tariff rate. Link weekends are only available for 3 consecutive weekends (16 nights maximum). Linked weekend bookings can only be made over the phone or in person on site, it is not possible to book these online. Please note that awnings can be left up in between stays but the ground sheet must be lifted.

GROUP BOOKINGS

We allow groups of a maximum 2 units. If a larger group is discovered on site, even if pitches have been booked individually, this is considered a breach of these booking conditions and we reserve the right to ask any or all the parties to immediately leave the site, without a refund.

UNIT OCCUPANCY

We allow a maximum of 6 persons per Unit unless prior arrangements have been made. All bookings must include one person who is at least 21 years old for each unit booked.

SMALL TENT PITCHES

If you book a small tent pitch, 3-metre tent, please note that our ‘Shelf’ Pitches have no vehicle access, but vehicles can be parked in the visitors’ car park. If booking online, please indicate as to whether you need your vehicle next to your pitch or not.

PETS

We welcome all well-behaved pets on site and hope they enjoy their stay as much as you do, but in the interest of safety and comfort we ask that dogs are kept on a lead of no more than 2 metres when outside. Apart from assistance dogs, pets are not allowed in the toilet block or other facilities. For everybody's comfort on site, pet owners are respectfully asked to ensure any mess is cleaned up and noise is kept to a minimum. There is a maximum of TWO dogs per unit, if in any doubt please phone and ask.

Please note despite our best efforts the dog walk is not completely escape proof so please keep an eye on your dogs. Pets are not allowed on the recreation areas or sports-field. Dogs cannot be left alone in a unit no matter how short the time. We reserve the right to require that the owner removes their dog, or any other pet, if it is a nuisance or danger to other guests.

We do not allow pets in Ursula the touring caravan.

FIREWORKS

Due to the proximity of other units and animals on site and livestock in the surrounding area the setting off of fireworks is not permitted anywhere on Laneside Caravan Park land.

CONTINENTAL/LEFT HAND DOOR UNITS

Continental/left hand door units must be pitched on hard standing or serviced pitches. We only have 3 grass electric pitches that can accommodate them. Please make us aware when you book if you have a Continental unit.

WEEKENDS

We do not allow single night bookings at weekends. There is a 2-night minimum booking which must include a Saturday. Walker on foot rate is non-applicable for High Season weekends.

CYCLING AND BALL GAMES

Cycling, Scootering and any other battery or self-propelled wheel apparatus is allowed throughout the site at a walking pace only except for by the Holiday Home field or the toilet facilities.

NO ball games are allowed on site so that no damage is caused to units on site. The football field is provided for all types of games to be played without causing a disturbance to other campers.

You cannot follow the river past 'The Shelf' into the Holiday Home field.

GAZEBO'S, EVENT SHELTERS & PUP TENTS

Event shelters are recommended above gazebos as at certain times of the year we can have strong winds.  Event shelters are more secure and lower to the ground.  They must fit in your allotted pitch, cannot encroach on other pitches and are charged as per the current tariff.  They can only be pitched on grass electric pitches.  We will ask any customer who we feel are mis-using their gazebo/event shelter to take it down.  This may include gathering under them creating noise complaints after 10.30pm.

A pup tent is a small tent, maximum 2 metres in length, pitched alongside the main unit, often used for storage or pets. In exceptional circumstances, as agreed with the management, a pup tent can be used for sleeping in for a maximum of 2 people, one of which must be 21 years old or over. Pup tents are charged as per the current tariff.

ELECTRICITY

The electric hook-up point is for the sensible use of caravan and camping low wattage proprietary electrical equipment only and are not designed for domestic appliances. Unfortunately, this does not include electric hook up splitting devises, charging electric cars, electric awning heaters or equipment such as household kettles. Use of this type of equipment will cause the electric hook up point to trip. We do not allow customers to charge their electric vehicles with our electric hook-up points. There are electric vehicle charging points in the village car park. Generators are not permitted on site.

BARBECUES & FIRES

No ground fires are allowed but purpose-made barbecues are welcome if they are kept off the grass or benches. House bricks are provided at the office.  If you then add extra wood to this, you must be a safe distance from your and other units.  You must not over stock it so there are large flames or flying embers.  You must always have a large amount of water handy to extinguish it and be in control.  It must be completely out by 10.30pm. Due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, never take a barbecue inside your unit for any reason.

OFFERS & DISCOUNTS

We can only apply one offer or discount per booking. Unless you have been provided with a discount codes, these can only be applied by Laneside. If booking online add a note requesting the specific discount and this will then be processed prior to the balance payment being due.

SEASONAL PITCHES

For the 2024 season we have Full Seasonal and Part Seasonal Pitches.

Full Seasonal Pitch

Full Seasonal Pitches are available from 15th March 2024 until 5th January 20254 and are priced as follows:

Awning Pitch             £2925.00

Non-Awning Pitch    £2510.00

A deposit of £100.00 non-refundable is required to secure a pitch with the balance due one month prior to the start of the season. Please note that Full Seasonal pitches are metered for electric.

Part Seasonal Pitch

Early (15th March -17th May 2024) and Late (16th September-20th December 2024) Part seasonals are now on sale with limited availability priced as follows:

Early Part Seasonal £1250.00

Late Part Seasonal £1785.00

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a pitch with the balance due one month prior to arrival.

T

he allocation procedure for full seasonal pitches is as follows:

  1. Existing customers are asked if they will be returning for the next year.
  2. Any availability is then offered to existing customers who may wish to move pitch.
  3. To allocate available pitches all entries on our contact list will be placed into a draw and pitches will be offered as they are drawn.

New and prospective customers please note:

Seasonal pitches are not suitable for families with children and teenagers. Youngsters get bored coming to the same place every week and this can lead to problems. As a family site we welcome children coming on touring holidays or occasionally visiting but not on a regular basis. We know this statement can cause offence, but it is not directed against any individual: it simply makes for a more agreeable, trouble-free site. Families wanting to come on a more frequent basis might like to consider the `Linked-Weekend` option or our NEW part season pitches.
