Touring & Camping...

You can be assured of a warm welcome at Laneside. We take great pride in the quality of our amenities and standards of housekeeping. We have installed entirely new shower facilities with two centrally heated power shower blocks (8 showers & changing cubicles in addition to the 2 showers in our smaller block. These have been described by many of our customers as "The best showers we've seen on any park."We also have a new dedicated disabled shower, loo and handbasin block with RADA key entry. Washing up facilities are similarly impressive - all new - with 6 double sided sinks in an attractive sheltered block. The home page has a full listing of other amenities.

We are frequently asked if there are any plans to have a club on site. - No, and there never will be one. We live in one of the loveliest places in Britain and cater for people who want to enjoy the countryside. Anyhow a big advantage we have is the nearness of Hope village - where you have a super choice of real-ale country pubs with excellent food.

Good Standards of Security

Hope Village

Touring
There are 80 electric pitches available with good access by made-up road, 60 on grass pitches; 20 on hard standing. The pitches are well marked out and every pitch backs up to a post & rail fence and / or a hedgerow - mostly beech and hawthorn.

Seasonal Touring Caravan Pitches
We have seasonal caravans on permanent pitches in addition to the touring pitches. These can be booked for a full season. They are very popular and get booked up at the beginning of the season mostly by people returning from the previous year. If you might be interested, come along - if we haven't one at the time, we can normally offer a pitch for the next season. (But see notes on Tariff & conditions - especially concerning children).

Camping
The main camping field by the river has 50 tent pitches mostly at the village end of the site. Stone steps lead straight onto Hope Bridge - the village boundary. The most popular sites are on the riverside field where there is a walkway down to the river with stepping stones leading across to the sports field. It's safe for all but crawling infants and children love playing there. We can offer electricity to tents though not on the riverside field.
